Yuri Goloubev spent twelve years as principal bass of the Moscow Soloists before turning from classical music to jazz.
Here he takes the bass chair for Alexander Mironov’s 36-minute reworking of Rachmaninoff’s Second Piano Concerto, which follows the original’s three movements after a brief introduction by drummer Petr Ivshin.
