For the centenary of Satie’s death, Hervé Sellin expanded his Jazz Impressions series beyond solo piano. Flute, saxophones, vibraphone and bass now surround his piano and Fender Rhodes, giving the music a much wider range of colour.

Sellin also contributes Gymnopédia, an original tribute to Aldo Ciccolini. The gesture acknowledges how much our idea of Satie owes not only to the notes he wrote, but also to the pianists who have interpreted them.
