After a first Jazz Impressions devoted to Debussy, Hervé Sellin returned to French music with Fauré and Ravel.
He plays almost the whole album alone; Claude Egéa’s flugelhorn enters for just two Ravel pieces.
Sellin premiered the project at Le Bal Blomet in Paris three weeks before its 2024 release.

The classical side contains only the source pieces used on the album, in album order. The jazz side presents the complete album whenever a dependable copy can be embedded.
Tracks 7 and 8 divide Ravel’s Introduction et danse religieuse into its two component sections, so the classical player uses one recording of the complete number for both.
