The Danish duo builds its sound around the close conversation between Poul Rosenbaum’s piano and Mads Vinding’s double bass.

Rather than collecting isolated favourites, the programme works through the whole Partita No. 1 and French Suite No. 2 alongside shorter preludes and notebook pieces.

One complete performance of Partita No. 1 covers tracks 1–7, and one complete performance of French Suite No. 2 covers tracks 12–17. The Netherlands Bach Society video at tracks 19–20 contains both Petzold minuets. The remaining sources follow separately in album order.
