Andrzej Jagodziński

Andrzej Jagodziński trained as a horn player and spent years in Polish jazz before forming his own piano trio in 1993. Its first Chopin album won Poland’s Fryderyk award and began a long, unusually patient relationship with the composer, eventually stretching from individual preludes and études to the complete B flat minor Sonata. Jagodziński chooses and arranges the repertoire himself, which helps these records feel like a continuing body of work rather than a succession of crossover projects.
