Kuhn’s programme includes both Ravel’s and Fauré’s Pavanes, letting two works often grouped together reveal very different shapes in the same trio’s hands.
It also pays attention to popular songs built from classical themes, so Chopin, Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninoff sometimes arrive under Tin Pan Alley titles.
