Brazilian singer Edson Cordeiro has a four-octave voice that moves from baritone to countertenor, making him unusually well equipped for a record that ignores conventional vocal boundaries. The project grew out of his concerts with the Klazz Brothers, and its most entertaining collisions retain that theatrical origin: Mozart’s Queen of the Night meets “The Girl from Ipanema”, while Bach’s Air is paired with Morricone’s music for Once Upon a Time in the West.
