Classical meets jazz began almost by accident. During a rehearsal, Fabrizio Trullu started playing a classical melody and Gianni Satta answered with an improvised trumpet line. The idea delighted two musicians already linked by a long friendship and shared Sardinian roots.

They recorded the finished programme live in the studio, leaving trumpet or flugelhorn and piano to carry it. Trullu shifts the harmony and rhythm while Satta works around the original melodic line, keeping the source recognisable but never untouchable.
